Here's a wireless card for Linux that works out of the box on Ubuntu Hardy.

INTEL 2915 ABG 54M 802.11 a/b/g Mini PCI Wireless Card

I've been running Ubuntu on my Dell Inspiron 510m since 6.10 Edgy and have always had trouble with the Broadcom wireless card that shipped with the laptop. When I upgraded to Hardy the Broadcom card stopped working altogether so I picked up the above Intel card on eBay for £10.

Both WEP and WPA are supported. The card also works on XP for those who dual boot.
